Uh. Hm..hi, guys?

Yeah, IRL pretty much took over my life a couple of months. I still work (but I actually got hired - yays!) and I'm still working on a project for a friend. I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to reveal but it's a mascot project and it really, really shouldn't have taken this long to finish -_-'
I blame myself for not feeling up to the task when I get home from work. Well, I think I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel now, anyways - looking at the details, there shouldn't be too much left.  (The end result will totally not mirror the time it took to complete it)

Aside from that? Games! I picked up Valkyria Chronicles and Disgaea 3 after receiving my first salary, among with some more Saturn games. My little collection is expanding at a steady rate, even though I'm only collecting things I actually want to play. Don't own any "RARE" or "super cool" titles yet but I'm totally loving my Saturn. I'm also planning on picking up a PC-Engine of some sort (most likely a DUO-something) and/or a PC-FX later down the road but that might have to wait, as I'm thinking of switching to a new computer - this one might literary fall apart soon. And that would be a bad thing  ):

And lastly, let's not forget to talk about art~! : D
I'm currently trying to improve both my skills and my style - hoping to make it look a bit more "retro". Not sure how well that will end up though. If possible, I'd really like to try my hand at painting and spriting as well. I have assembled some brushes and stuff for painting, but nothing to actually paint on and I'm lacking paint as well - not sure what I want to get into. I read that those who makes sweet backgrounds for anime/games etc uses "poster color" and I'm not sure what that is called over here.
Actually, I would like to pick up the art of copic markers and rasters as well - but I'm afraid most of this will have to wait until I finish earlier mentioned project, or nothing will ever get done

Hrm...if I am to be honest, there has been a certain lack of updates on my part here (and my message centre is full again). While there has been no activity here I can assure you that I have not goofed around gaming all day. Well...almost.

For starters, I've begun working temporarily, which I will continue doing a few more months if things goes as planned. Nothing too exciting though but it should provide me with disposable income, which I consider myself in dire need of.

Aside from that, I'm working on a little project for a guy I know. ...I don't mean "little", do I? No, it's a bit bigger than I initially believed but I'm still hanging in there, just progressing a bit slowly. At any rate, it's consuming most of my artistic output so don't expect much to happen here : p

On a side note, I have been getting really interested in trying my hand at painting backgrounds. Without the help of a computer, that is. I've done a few backgrounds pieces in the past and while they look pretty good they're still far from what I wish to achieve.

I thought that perhaps I could get the look more right if I went traditional. I haven't been able to gather everything I need yet (nor do I really know what I need) but I'm looking forward to trying it out at the very least.

I'm stuck at HR 4 at moment, having a bit of trouble repelling a huge dragon all by myself. Also, Yian Garuga can *********** with a ****** in a ***** for all I care. He's way harder that I thought he would be and has been kicking my bum around for a while now.  D:

Well, you don't have to but...if you'd like that would be neat.

I have started to upload some of the results of my venture into the analog realm there, since well, they're like pretty doodles and not much more
I hope to continue add something there from time to time...

While I actually finished an art piece not too long ago (like..last week or so?) I once again, at least partly, return to the activity known as "lazying around" (a favorite pastime of mine). I got tagged two times by my friend during my absence tho' :s
(The first tag I recieved is put on hold since it's a drawing meme that requires co-operation with another person) The second is the "8 random facts about yourself"-meme...I can't remember if I already has done this once before or not...anyway, without further ramblings, I present to you, the meme:

Random facts:

1. I really like cars and vehicles. Top Gear is probably my favorite non-anime show.
2. I've always thought of myself as guy of average height but when everyone I know (younger and older) suddenly got taller than me, I've begun to doubt this.
3. Anime/manga and Japanese music from the 80s/90s makes my heart flutter.
4. I get more productive when people around me are also drawing.
5. I find the concept of traps and reverse traps interesting.
6. Right now I have "Let's Go Away" from Daytona USA looping in my head.
7. I prefer wired controllers because they do not need batteries.
8. I love anime & manga but I'm not very interested at all in voice actors/artists/idols and figure collecting. (For example, the Hirano Aya and Mizuki Nana fever that infected a large part of the blogging sphere I follow did not have any direct effect on me...)
